During our 10 days in Jamaica, some of our girls got to participate in a VBS-like program at a local orphanage. I got to spend one day there with them, and again, what an overwhelming mix of emotions. These kids want nothing more than to be loved on, held, and hugged. Every now and then you would get a request for “sweeties” (candy), and we were well supplied! These children live at this home either because they have no family, or their family cannot care for them. Similar to the infirmary, spending time here you will find yourself crying, laughing, and recieving more love than you could ever think to give. Sometimes I wondered if we were there to share the gift of LOVE or recieve it! The face of Christ was seen in each of these children!
